Channel Catalog

Channels are the specific destinations where your content lands — a subreddit, a Discord channel, a Telegram group, a Hashnode publication, or a Mastodon hashtag. AI Boost Post discovers them automatically from your connections and lets you curate them with tags and notes.

Curate your channel catalog — step by step

Wait for daily discovery OR trigger a refresh

After connecting a platform, the daily discovery cron populates channels automatically. To trigger it manually, open the connection card's ⋯ menu on Connections and click Refresh channels.

Star channels you post to often

Click the star icon (☆) on any row. Favourites pin to the top of the Composer channel picker.

Tag by niche

Open the ⋯ menu and choose Edit niche tags. Tag by topic ("saas", "ai", "devops"). Tags feed the AI Suggest-channels feature in the Composer.

Add private notes

Notes are workspace-visible. Great for posting rules ("r/MachineLearning — academic tone only") or reminders ("post on Tuesday mornings").

Block channels you never want to target

For channels that repeatedly reject your posts or are off-brand, use ⋯ → Block channel. Blocked channels are hidden across the app, including AI suggestions.

Connection vs Channel

Connection	Your authenticated account on a platform (e.g., your Reddit login).
Channel	A specific place inside that account to post (e.g., the subreddit r/SaaS).

One connection can have many channels. Your Reddit account may be subscribed to 30 subreddits; each one appears as a separate channel in your catalog.

Automatic discovery

Every day AI Boost Post calls each of your connections and fetches the latest list of available channels. Newly discovered channels appear with a New badge so you can review them quickly. Channels that are no longer returned by the platform are marked Stale and hidden from default views (but kept for history).

To trigger an immediate refresh, go to Connections, open the three-dot menu (⋯) on a connection card, and click Refresh channels. There is a 60-second cooldown between manual refreshes.

Navigating the channel catalog

Open Channels from the top navigation. Use the controls to filter:

Connector filter — show only channels from one platform (e.g., only Reddit channels).
Status filter — show Favourites, Discovered, Draft, Blocked, or Stale channels.
Search bar — filter by channel name.

Channel statuses

Status	Meaning
Discovered	Found automatically. Visible in the Composer channel picker by default.
Favourite ⭐	Pinned to the top of the channel picker. Mark channels you post to regularly.
Draft	You're researching this channel but aren't ready to post to it yet. Hidden from the default Composer picker.
Blocked	Permanently excluded. Never shown in the Composer picker or AI suggestions.
Stale	No longer returned by the platform. Kept for history but hidden from default views.

Starring and blocking channels

On any channel row, click the star icon (☆) to toggle between Favourite and Discovered. To block a channel, open the three-dot menu (⋯) and choose Block channel. Blocked channels are hidden across the whole app including AI suggestions.

Adding niche tags and notes

Open the three-dot menu on any channel row and click Edit niche tags. Type a tag and press Enter or , to add it. Tags are used by the AI Suggest channels feature in the Composer to surface the right channels for your content.

You can also add private notes (visible only to your workspace). Notes are a good place to record posting rules like "r/MachineLearning — academic tone only, no promotional language."

Adding a channel manually

If a channel wasn't discovered automatically, click Add channel at the top of the Channels page. Paste a URL or enter the channel ID directly. AI Boost Post parses the URL to identify the connector and channel — for example, pasting https://t.me/mychannel creates a Telegram channel entry.

Tip — tag channels before building templates.Niche tags on channels feed directly into the AI "Suggest channels" button in the Composer. Well-tagged channels produce much better suggestions.
